Math is an important subject for girls to learn and we offer them female role models, so that they know that they too can become skilled mathematicians! Math should be seen as a tool to help girls succeed and not as an obstacle. Girls gain confidence and motivation to pursue math and refine their skills further, when they see other girls doing math and excelling at it. 

The way math is taught is critical in determining how girls perceive and engage with the subject. At Math Girl we find fun ways to connect problem-solving to the real-world, which helps girls understand and engage with the subject. When girls make those connections that make math relatable and not abstract, they take ownership of their own learning and fall in love with the process, which helps them gain the skills and knowledge necessary to thrive in their futures.
